8 Books That Will Inspire You to Travel

I wholeheartedly agree with several of these book recommendations that will inspire many of you to travel:

8 Awesome Travel-Inspiring Books You Should Read:

Chad’s Top 4

1. Honeymoon With My Brother by Franz Wisner
2. In a Sunburned Country by Bill Bryson
3. Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer
4. The Art of Non-Conformity by Chris Gillebeau

Jake’s Top 4

1. A Walk Across America by Peter Jenkins
2. Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer
3. Work Your Way Around the World by Susan Griffith
4. On The Road by Jack Kerouac

I can tell you that if you haven’t read it yet, “Honeymoon With My Brother” is a REALLY good book! Very inspiring and a journey that so many of you probably wish you could take. Haven’t read the rest of Chad’s picks, but I’ve read #’s 2, 3, and 4 from Jake. Into the Wild is inspiring, until you get to the end! Love Emile Hirsch in the movie version too (man deserved an Oscar!)

If you’re looking for a practical planning guide for a round-the-world vacation and you’re not a playboy or heiress of some sort, definitely get “Work Your Way Around the World”. It might just inspire you to take the plunge and leave the worries of “Where will the money come from?” behind.
