5 Most Popular Winter Destinations for 2019

Organizing a winter vacation can take a lot of energy, and lots of factors may come into play during the process. With the end of year holidays coming up, millions of Americans will be flying in and out of the United States. Aviation JobNet predicts that 2019 could be a record-breaking holiday travel season in the U.S., with reports that the number of air passengers could increase by 5% compared with 2018.

While many of these passengers will be flying home for the Christmas season, others will be looking to go on holiday over the break. People go on vacation during the colder months for a variety of reasons— some head to warmer climates, while others travel northward to enjoy the cold weather.

Whether you’re in the middle of planning a trip, or about to head out on one yourself, here are some of the most popular winter destinations for 2019.

1. Germany

There’s nothing more magical than drinking mulled wine and walking through European streets with fairy lights overhead and carolers singing throughout the night. Enjoy the festive Christmas spirit and shop for traditional food, souvenirs, and delicious drinks.

The Miami City Ballet’s 2019 shows for the ballet The Nutcracker run from December 13 to 19, and families can enjoy Zoo Lights Miami every Friday and Saturday up to December 29. The city is also home to some of the most delicious fusion food around, which is more than enough reason to head over.
