Epic 2,000-Sheep Parade in Madrid, Spain

I never realized that a protest can be such an awesome tourist attraction: Last Sunday, downtown Madrid, Spain was invaded by 2,000 sheep.

It’s the ancient herding traditions that are close to extinction – “thanks” to the urban expansion. The annual event is carried out by shepherds as a form of protest, in an effort to defend their right to graze their sheep on the original routes – which was greens, not streets, monuments and landmarks.

Visit Madrid, and get ready for surprises like this 🙂
