Iceland is only a short hop to the European mainland, so if you want to carry on exploring you can make a trip onward to London or Paris with another short flight. Make sure you explore and see as much of Iceland as you can, however. You can even make another stop on your return home if you want to see the Northern Lights one last time before returning to normality.
